Calling all age groups – staff and pupils!
Following a positive response from NLC, a competition is being held for design ideas for a Community Garden at the rear of the school. If all goes to plan, your ideas could become reality with the help of a landscape architect and various labourers – professionals, pupils and local community volunteers.
Use your imagination to design a Community Garden at the rear of Coltness High School! The area could include:
- Allotment plots – places to grow flowers and vegetables
- Outdoor classroom – explore the natural environment nearby
- Sensory garden
- Bee hive
- Greenhouse / poly tunnel
- Compost area – re-use natural materials where possible
- Water collection – re-use natural materials where possible
Dimensions: 36m x 30m x 7m x 7m approx.
See Ms Rielly, Mrs McQuade or Mrs Scoular for more details. Hand in your drawings to Ms Rielly. Don’t forget to put your name and class or department.
