Mental Health Art competition

A group of pupils from the school’s art department entered the recent Mental Health Art competition run by the Scottish Mental Health Foundation. The pupils worked extremely hard and utilised their creativity to develop their illustrations, which were then judged by health professionals. The art competition asked pupils to explore the theme of ‘A Day in the Life’ for young people with long term physical or mental health conditions.

The school was delighted that one of our pupils, Eunice Onwubiko, was the overall winner of the competition and was awarded the top prize of an iPad. Well done to Eunice for her amazing line drawing. She was presented with the iPad by Iain French and Natalie Keil from the Mental Health Foundation. A thoroughly deserved win for her. All the work will soon be displayed in a travelling and online exhibition.
