Monday

  • Literacy – Reading – Session 3 of your groups reading book (you have access to this using your Bug Club login details).

Green group: Flight From Ledron Green session 3

Yellow group: How to be a Detective Yellow session 3

Red group: My Life in the Blitz Red session 3

Blue group: About Earth – read the book and answer the bug questions as they appear.

Spelling- Look/say/cover/write/check 3 times & dictionary definitions (remember you can find the meanings online)

  • Sumdog Contest, get our class and school to the top of the leaderboard!

Friday

  • Teams lesson at 9:30am – Writing 
  • Imaginative writing – As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, we are going to learn about the journey of the banana. This is going to be the theme of our writing. You are going to write in 1st person, as if you are a banana. You will write the story with links to the real journey that a banana goes through, based on the PowerPoint but using your imagination and VCOP skills to make it a fantastic story. You should still write in paragraphs, an example of the structure you could use is below as well as the success criteria and the PowerPoint.
  • Paragraph 1: Harvest
  • Paragraph 2: Storage
  • Paragraph 3: Shipping
  • Paragraph 4: Arrival in Scotland
  • Paragraph 5: Supermarket and being purchased (maybe being eaten)
  • Journey of the banana
