‘The Ultimate DrEAM Step Challenge,’ continues this week so remember to get out and get active to help us push up the leader board. Remember to keep track of your steps every single day and log your weekly total on a Sunday.

I have attached a timetable as an overview but you will see more details for what you have to do each day on this page.

15th February

Tuesday 

Literacy – Reading

  • Session 3 of your groups reading book (you have access to this using your Bug Club login details)

Green group: Island Bound Green session 3

Yellow group: What makes a Roller Coaster roll? Yellow session 3

Red group: Dead Sick Red Session 3

Blue group: How Do They Make Costumes? Blue session 3

Spelling: Look/say/cover/write/check 3 times and dictionary definitions.

  • P.E. – get stepping and make sure you are signed up the the ‘Ultimate DrEAM step challenge’
  • IDL – Our focus for IDL is on Health and Wellbeing, please complete one task every afternoon and send your finished work on Teams! You should be able to use the links on the document to open the different worksheets, links and ppts. However, the worksheets for some of the tasks are below.
  • EXTRA – Today is Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day), make some tasty pancakes with your family and share a photo with us on Teams. If your parents allow you  to, why not have a go at flipping your pancakes in the pan!

  • PE – 3K Thursday – get out and complete a 3K exercise. This can be a run, walk, cycle or scoot! Upload pictures of you completing this to our Teams HWB channel.

Literacy

  • Primary 6 have written some excellent poems this week and we are going to have a go at them today. The poems are going to be all about the things that you have been missing about school during lockdown. Each verse will start with ‘I didn’t know I’d miss – ‘. Try to describe each thing carefully so we can totally picture what you are missing. You could use similes/metaphors/the senses/alliteration, etc. This is an example written by a girl called Tina. She has been missing lots of things about school.
