I have attached a timetable as an overview but you will see more details for what you have to do each day on this page.

8th March

Monday

  • Teams meeting at 9:30am.
  • Literacy – Reading – You have access to this using your Bug Club login details. This week you will read the non-fiction book over 2 session. In session 1, you have to read the book and answer the bug questions as they appear.

Green group: Dead Adventurous

Yellow group: Globe Challenge: Rainforests at Risk

Red group: 101 Things to Do in the UK

Blue group: The Food You Eat

Spelling- Look/say/cover/write/check 3 times & dictionary definitions (remember you can find the meanings online)

Tuesday (Mr. Anderson in school)

  • Literacy – Grammar
  • P7s – Prepositions, Joining Sentences and Synonyms
  • P6s – Similes
  • Now complete one comprehension task from your booklet: Return of the Deadeye (1); Unit 5 – The Outing; Insects, colour and camouflague.

Numeracy

  • Complete Tuesday mental maths questions.
  • Green and Yellow Monday and Tuesday
  • Red and Blue Monday and Tuesday
  • Green and Yellow: Number booklet – Second addition page, answer the questions then write the answer in words too!
  • Red and Blue: Number booklet – Second addition page, answer the questions then write the answer in words too!

Whole class reading lesson @ 9:30am on Teams.

Literacy – Questioning

  • Questioning prompts – this is a reminder of the different levels of questions which we can be asked or ask ourselves. Today your task is to create 10 questions you could ask about the clip, remember to get a range of questions from different levels.

Check Numeracy section for live lessons.

  • Literacy – Reading – You have access to this using your Bug Club login details. In session 2, your task is to display information you have learned about during the book. This could be an informative poster or a fact file. It must contain at least 8 things this book has taught you and remember to add detail, colour and a theme to your poster which relates to the book.

  • Spelling – pyramid spelling and rainbow spelling.

  • Teams lesson at 9:30am – Writing 
  • Home Learning Acrostic poem
  • The phrase HOME LEARNING goes down the left of your page, each line must start with the next letter in the phrase. All of your sentences must link to something that you enjoyed, learned or experienced during your 9 weeks of home learning. You should think of this as a chance to reflect on this experience.

Numeracy

  • Green and Yellow: Equations revision (TJ 3a – p.58)
  • Red and Blue: Interpreting information (TJ 2a – p.177)
