As of 1 January 2016, the First Minister announced that the income thresholds for EMA will increase as follows:
- Increase in household income threshold from £20,351, if 1 dependent child in the household to £24,421,
- Increase in household income threshold from £22,403, if more than 1 dependent child in the household to £26,884
The new thresholds apply to all young people who fall within the EMA age eligibility outlined in the EMA application form and leaflet.
