Tonight, many people around the UK will be celebrating Bonfire Night at either an arranged bonfire, or at home with smaller fireworks.
We were shown by Welephant and Spikey how to keep safe with fireworks using The Firework Code. Click below to see the story of Welephant and Spikey: Bonfire Night: How do I keep safe?
In assembly, we heard that the choices we can make with fireworks can have an impact on our future. Mr Cook shared a story about his friend who was injured badly with a rocket as a teenager. An NHS clip showed us how to stay safe with fireworks. The following link includes the clip, and some information on what can happen if we are not careful. Bonfire Safety: NHS
Mrs MacLeod played a game which taught us about The Gunpowder Plot, led by Guy Fawkes. To play game click the link below: The Gunpowder Plot: Game
Wherever you are tonight- be safe, and remember The Firework Code.
