About this quality indicator

This indicator considers the role of leadership and management in driving improvement in food in schools across Scotland. It is concerned with the importance of a well-supported and well-informed staff and the commitment to provide training and opportunities for all staff, children, young people and partners that enable them to take responsibility and to lead/motivate others. It focuses on creating a shared vision as a key feature of building a well-informed and knowledgeable whole school approach to food provision and food as a context for learning.
