Primary 7/6 – Mr Doherty & Mrs Mair

Hi everyone and a very happy new year to you all. P7/6 would like to share some of our learning from last term together with some information on the term ahead. There is also a copy of this months Homework grid.

During the first week back after the winter holiday the class chose words which they felt summed up how they were feeling about the year ahead.

We all hope that you will find them as inspiring as we do!

BTW! PE this will take place on a Thursday and Friday this term. Please make sure the children come to school with a full gym kit on those days.

Throughout January and February, the class have been very busy learning about percentages, fractions and money in numeracy whilst using out topic of environmental issues to explore persuasive and factual writing. The class have also been developing their athletic and gymnastic skills during PE.

We have also enjoyed a couple of trips to the Royal Conservatoire to enjoy Peter and the Wolf and to The City Chambers to understand about  equality and the dangers of prejudice.

Lots of things have been happening over the last month. The children had a great time at the residential trip, they enjoyed creating and launching rockets with the Royal Marines and gave an outstanding performance at the Super Sixes athletics meeting.
