Tom from Tron St. Mary’s came over to help us tidy our school garden and harvest our vegetables. It was chaos – dirt and mess and even litter, tennis balls and a fidget spinner in the planters. We had an amazing time even when we had to tidy up the enormous mess that we made!!
Primary four have a special job this year, as part of our eco class responsibility we are in charge of improving our gardening area in the playground! This week is Health Week at Balornock Primary. This year Glasgow City Council launched a photography competition for Earth Hour 2017. Boys and girls across the city were asked to take photographs of what they would like to change in their local environment that would make their community more eco friendly. Our Eco Heroes and Rights Respecting Committee visited ST Martha’s Primary today to find out more about climate change. WE worked in teams to think about transport and the advantages and disadvantages of how we travel to school. A very interesting morning.
