Primary 1b have been back working super hard all week! They have been learning new sounds like H and W. We had plenty of time for our ‘thinking faces’ with a lot of chin stroking! And we were continuing with our addition to 10 and beyond. Looking forward to starting our topic on Scotland next week!! P1b and Mr Haining
Welcome back to school everyone! It has been an excellent break and we are all rested and raring to go again. Today we practiced our news and our writing and revised our addition in maths. The Eco Heroes had a great meeting this afternoon to discuss the on-going plans for the school! There were lots of great ideas from the team including having ‘Litter Ninjas’ in the upper school playground to ensure that no litter is left after play time and lunch time. We are also going to get the Eco Display in the main entrance decorated very soon! Watch this space for some excellent
More hard work from the girls and boys of P1b this week!! Showing off our phonics work!! We learned new numbers this week. We practiced our common words!
What a week for P1b. Refreshed after our long weekend, we worked hard on our number and phonics work. We matched the sounds using our ‘Sound Garden’. We used paint to make the phonics we learned. We played our animal game. We practiced writing our common words. Excellent work, Kayla! And we relaxed our bodies and minds with yoga. Namaste! Looking forward to next week already!!
We all had a great week in P1b learning new numbers and sounds. This week we looked at the sounds ‘Ii’ and ‘Ss’ and the numbers 4 and 5. We had our visiting music specialist Mrs Wiszniewska teaching us new songs. Outside, we made human bar graphs representing what fruit and colours we liked. Balornock Bob helped up with Circle Time. We also had fun making Hand Prints for our Class
The girls and boys of P1b have been in until 3pm for the first time this week! We have been learning lots of new things. We have been learning about numbers and letters through new songs and rhymes. We have looked at the sound ‘Aa’ and ‘Tt’ and have enjoyed matching the sounds to pictures. We also practiced the Alphabet Song. We are getting very familiar with the ‘Big Number
The girls and boys of Primary 1b have settled in very well in their first couple of weeks!! Full time as of next week!
