Reflection of Term 1 P1/2

What a bust term we had with all pupils settling really well back into school and experiencing it for the first time.

We have been working hard to learn about 2d and 3D shapes, identifying their properties and attributes to be able to recognise them.  We have worked on number stories and recognising their numeral and their values. There has been a lot of experiences of showing our knowledge in different ways sing classroom resources and think boards.

We have worked hard to learn and refresh our phonic knowledge and using this to blend sounds to read and write new words. I am so impressed with the efforts everyone has put in.

we have been looking and learning about seasons and in particular Autumn by using our Percy the Park Keeper stories and have carried out many literacy and numeracy opportunities through these.

Our writing is developing well and using the Mighty Writer to structure out planning and subsequent writing has been very impactful.

Term 2 is a very exciting and term and we have many things to look forward to learning and sharing up until Christmas. We look forward to keeping you up to date with our learning as the term progresses.
