Our Learning Reflections 4/11/22

This week in P3/4/5 we have enjoyed celebrating Halloween with activities in maths, literacy and the added bonus of dooking for apples then popping them on a stick and covering them in chocolate.

We carried out fractions work using Halloween as a stimulus and then showed our understanding and skills at shared finish with our visitors.

In literacy we have been learning about irregular verbs, the alphabet and word families.  For writing we have focussed on being as descriptive as we can and using our senses to base our descriptions on for Halloween and bonfire night.

In addition to this learning we have been exploring similes and metaphors to enhance our writing further.

We have enjoyed dancing in gym and trying our ‘hand’ at football skills to show control and accuracy.

Our free learning this week was incredibly creative with woodwork, sand, planting, making more wands and much much more.

Great week everyone. Onwards to the next one!
