Literacy
This term, we have been learning about the Titanic and finding out lots of interesting facts. We used what we learned to help us with our writing. We made persuasive advertising leaflets to encourage people to travel on the Titanic and wrote newspaper reports about what happened on its journey. We have also been practising using adjectives and descriptive language to make our writing more exciting. One of our favourite activities was writing stories about what it would have been like to be a passenger onboard the Titanic.
Numeracy
In Numeracy, we have been learning about fractions and some of us have started to explore how fractions are linked to decimals. We have also been revising our understanding of place value and practising rounding numbers.
Health and Wellbeing
This term, we have been talking about how we are all different and unique, and how these differences make us special. We discussed the qualities that make a good friend and thought about how we can be kind, caring and supportive to others. We also learned about the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect.
Craigtoun Park
We were lucky enough to go on a school trip this term! We had an amazing day at Craigtoun Country Park. The sun was shining and we spent the day having lots of adventures, fun and exploring. Our favourite activities included braving the zipwire, playing in the huge playground and taking part in a giant game of hide and seek in the maze. It was a fantastic day.
Sports Day
Sports Day was lots of fun! We loved taking part in the races and trying our very best. It was also great to cheer on our friends and the other classes throughout the day.
