Literacy
This term we have been continuing to work on our blending skills, using all our sound skills and knowledge. We have been focusing on improving our writing by using a range of tools for writing techniques. This has seen a massive improvement in quality of writing across the class. We have continued to work on our reading fluency and expression in our weekly reading books.
Numeracy
This term we have has a huge focus on place value to consolidate our numbers as we prepare to move into our next classes. We have been exploring arrange of addition and subtraction strategies and have started to explore times tables further. We have also started to explore measure in more detail.
Other
In French we have been learning about the French culture. Camembear has helped us to learn these through songs and rhymes.
We have been looking at The rainforest and minibeasts as our IDL topic where we watched the life cycle of a butterfly with our very own caterpillars. We have been learning about different animals, habitats, minibeast and the needs and wants for survival. We are starting to learn about space and NASA in our next mini IDL topic.
