Literacy
This term in P2/3 we have enjoyed exploring the Scots language through poems. We chose our favourites to learn and perform in front of our class. We have explored different techniques including alliteration and similes. We especially enjoyed making our simile rainbow poems.
Numeracy
In numeracy we have been exploring multiplying and dividing quantities into equal groups. We are beginning to link this to doubling and the two times tables. We are also developing our problem-solving skills with practical maths challenges.
Health and Wellbeing
In HWB we are learning about the 12 meta skills . We are learning about each skill and the different ways we can demonstrate each skill. We are starting to recognise which skills we will be using across our learning.
Expressive Arts
P2/3 are working with the StAMP project for music this term. We have a music specialist coming in once a week to deliver music lessons where we are developing our understanding of musical terms like rhythm, pulse and the start of musical notation. We love learning new songs and playing claves to the beat.
We are exploring the work of different artists and finding out about the different techniques they use. We loved making our print pop art in the style of Andy Warhol and cannot wait for our class trip to the Modern One Art Gallery this term!
