P3b.2 Assembly

P3b.2 are looking forward to their class assembly next week and have been working hard to learn words and dances. Every child has a very important job to do next week and I’m sure they will want to share their job with you. Please practise lines if your child has a reading part. They have lines in their school bags.

Thank you, as always for your continued support.

Letters

Please check school bags for letters including World Book Day tokens.

Thank you for sending slips back for the Literacy Evening. We had a lot of replies so we had to choose names out of a hat. Children who have been chosen to help out have slips in their letter bundle.

French visitor

P3b.2 had the pleasure of meeting Sandrine this morning.  Sandrine teaches Primary 1 in a school in Cannes.  She came to our school to find out more about teaching in Scotland.  The children enjoyed asking Sandrine questions about the school day in France.  They were shocked to hear that children at her school only go to school 4 days per week, but thought they were better off when they heard that a typical French school day starts at 8.30am and ends at 4.30pm!

We have swapped addresses with Sandrine as we are keen to have a link with her school, ‘Ecole Eugene Vial’.

We look forward to writing letters, sending cards and finding out more about our new French friends.

P3b.2 Outdoor Learning 13.09.19

Mrs. Duffy is planning to take P3b.2 to the science and eco garden next Friday afternoon for outdoor learning.

Please send your child to school with wellies/boots and a waterproof jacket. As it’s getting colder now, you may send old joggers too. It would be very helpful if the clothing and footwear comes in a separate bag as they may get muddy.

It is  going to be a lot of fun!

Please keep checking the blog for updates.

It was lovely to meet so many parents last night!

I have attached the PowerPoint presentation which we had running in the background with information for both classes.
