Christmas Baking

Today Primary 3b.2 baked some yummy shortbread biscuits. We have been learning about weight and different types of scales so this was the perfect way to put our learning into practise! There was a little ‘technical hitch’ in the kitchen so some children didn’t get the chance to decorate their biscuits today. I will make sure this gets done tomorrow 🙂

Christmas Party snacks

This Thursday afternoon, Primary 3b will have their Christmas party. If you wish, you may provide your child with a snack and a drink to enjoy at the party.

Thank you!

Next week we will be making shortbread biscuits in school. We will be using butter, flour and sugar. If there are any dietary/allergy concerns please let us know 🙂

Please read below for information about our class technology challenge and discuss with your child what they may need to make the gingerbread house. The children will work in groups therefore please limit the amount of recycled junk which they bring in to school.

Thank you for your continued support!

Christmas Shenanigans

We we are getting into the Christmas spirit in Primary 3b!

Hooray! We’re all off to see the Primary 1 Nativity!

This caused a bit of excitement, what a lovely surprise to come back to 🙂
The festive culprits.

Our Trip To Lapland!

Primary 3b.2 have been taking part in a very exciting activity. We have been learning all about budgeting and have been pricing up a holiday to Lapland! The children worked together in pairs and had some very interesting conversations about which flights, hotels and activities to choose. There were more than a few sad faces this afternoon when we had to break it to the children that we weren’t actually going to be visiting Santa in the North Pole 🙂

Rory and Harry put a lot of thought into whether they could afford to upgrade their hotel.
Ben and Heidi used calculators to make sure their calculations were accurate.
Harris and George made sure to choose two fun activities.
A very industrious class!

Homework, 2 December

Please continue to use the bingo grid to choose activities for this week’s homework.

As next week is an assessment week for our spelling, homework jotters should be returned this Friday, 6th December. They will be sent home again with any sounds highlighted which the children need to practice.

Thank you.
