British Red Cross

Today we were lucky to have Leon from British Red Cross visit us.  He gave us some insight into emergency situations and helped us build our confidence in how to deal with them. We really enjoyed the first aid training we received. Thank you Leon!

Fun Day Monday!

We are super excited for our fun day in!

The Blitz

Today in class we learned about scale and proportion. We used our learning to interpret maps.

We then made spitfire models and calculated the scale of our model to the original size of the aircraft.

We found it to be a ratio of 1cm : 61cm.

The blitz has started in P7a!

Advertising Lesson 26/11/2019

Today we are going to be looking at adverts and creating our own advert for our P7 Christmas Fayre stall on Friday.

With your partners, discuss these adverts and on your whiteboards write down:

  1. What do you like/dislike about these adverts?
  2. How do they persuade you?

(Think about catchy slogans, emotive language, rhetorical questions and exaggeration.)

Air Raid Shelter

Here are a few pictures of us using our air raid shelter and our devices for light.

It was cold, dark and very difficult to work in. We felt cramped and got a little insight on how it would have felt during WWII.
