Yesterday, the pupils and staff went out in the rain to start our clean up mission. Despite the horrible weather, we split our playground and surrounding area into zones and each class had a zone to clear. We will continue our quest to have a weed free school!
Mrs Zoe Brook (Eva’s mum) kindly took the time to visit our school today to discuss the views of the pupils regarding the village and ways in which it could be improved. This was carried out in conjunction with a village questionnaire which was sent out to all residents. The results will be collated and our findings will be published in due course. Our pupils came up with some superb ideas including drainage in the park, football nets, a village shop and a train station.
The Uplawmoor gardening club treated the staff to freshly picked mint tea. The gardeners have been looking after the mint plant for over a year and with the help of Mrs Waters, used the leaves to make a refreshing mint tea.
