Fifth Years

There will be a meeting for all those interested in applying for next years Young Enterprise team. The meeting will take at 12.20 this Thursday (25/4) in the conference room. This will be an opportunity to speak to the current team, learn more about the process and ask any questions you may have. You will be provided with information that is vital in helping you enjoy the enterprise experience.

Mearns Castle’s Young Enterprise Team this year has came up with the idea of creating a local cookbook designed to promote the local area and healthy eating.  It will contain recipes from some of the best restaurants in and around Glasgow and also give brief details about the restaurants.

Tickwick Young Enterprise Team

Congratulations on an outstanding performance to all members of the Tickwick team for their achievements and success on attaining 4 awards at the Renfrewshire Area Finals on Thursday. The team presented an excellent performance and were a credit to themselves, their team and the school.

Awards achieved included: –

Overall Winners for:-

– Best Presentation (by Ailsa Thomson & Olly Orchant)

– Best Team Award with an opportunity to compete in the Scottish National Awards in June. (Haris Rahsid, Ailsa Thomson, Ailsa Stephen, Kaitlyn Davies, Fraser Proudfoot, Ryan Ward, James McNamara, Olly Orchant and Adam Wallace).

Runners up for:-

– Best Stand Display (by Ailsa Stephen)

– Best Report (By Haris Rashid, with input from team members)

S1/ S2 Enterprise Group

Looking for a Stocking Filler for Christmas? Come along to the Open Area at lunchtime on Friday 16th December, breaktime on Monday 19th, both break and lunchtime on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st.

We will be selling beautiful hand made Candy Cane Mice priced at 50p, Christmas bags containing some chocolates for 40p and Personalised baubles for 50p.If you would like to have a bauble personalised for someone you care about either come to our stall or contact Mrs Bonini in Support for Learning Department and we will arrange for the name of your choice to be written on a Christmas Bauble!

Young Enterprise Scotland Christmas Fair

The Young Enterprise Scotland Christmas Fair is being held at Braehead this Thursday the 15th of December. Your young enterprise group “TickWick” will be selling their unique hand made Candle Holder and Clocks made from recycled cans.   Lots of Glitz and Glamour for those special Xmas presents.

Trading begins at 5 0 clock until 7 0 clock.  In the Blue Corridor – leading from the car park at the XSCAPE end of the Centre into the second floor of the complex.
