Congratulations to the following S1 girls who won the Renfrewshire Schools Basketball Cup, beating St Andrews Academy in the final 50-16. This was a great end to their season which saw them undefeated and capped off an excellent League and Cup double. Both trophies are away to be engraved and will be in the trophy cabinet at the front of the school soon.
Classes from S2 to S6 have been busy making the news for this year’s BBC School Report Newsday. We have been engaging with a number of different current topics as well as using many of the skills taught in English during the course of this year.
And our final product is here. Click on this link to check out what we have been working on this year!

The Triathlon that was originally scheduled for 1st April has been postponed for the time being – the plan is still to offer this even but it will be in the summer term.
Thank you to those pupils who expressed an interest – Mr Murphy will keep names and have a meeting when the new date has been confirmed.
Can all of the pupils who have entered the competition please get your music to Mr Murphy or Mrs McNab as soon as possible if you haven’t done so already.
The music should be on a CD and the CD should only have that one piece of music that you intend to perform to.
The performance should not last any longer than 3 minutes
You should arrive at Eastwood HS between 5.45pm-6pm. Performance are due to start at 6.30pm
S1-3 girls who are interested in coming along to our Rugby club should attend the after school club run by Brandon (Rugby Development Officer). The club runs on Wednesdays in the Old Gym from 3.35pm – 4.45pm. The club is free.
It is non-contact at the moment but we are hoping to get enough girls along to introduce contact and enter teams into local competitions.
