Just a reminder that the next East Renfrewshire volunteer night is:

Wednesday 12th December

In St Ninians High School lecture theatre 

At 6pm – 7pm

If you are looking for coaching work with East Renfrewshire Council then it is vitally important that you attend this session.

Those who attended the previous volunteer night need not attend.

Volunteer Opportunities for S5 and S6 Pupils

Cosgrove is a charity that supports people with learning difficulties and they have a number of volunteer opportunities that may be of interest.

They have openings in:

  • Sunday volunteers for their charity shop, located at Skirving Street, Shawlands
  • Volunteer befrienders. The minimum age for volunteer befrienders is 18 years so will only be suitable for some of your 6th year pupils  
  • Child Service Play schemes Volunteers for next Spring (Easter school holidays)  and Summer and Autumn (School summer and October school holidays) – applications need to be in place by the end of January 2013
  • They are also interested in hearing from individuals who are interested in Fundraising and Events management as they can volunteer with Fundraising teams for various events that are run throughout the year. There is also scope for individuals to generate their own fundraising idea and see it through all stages from the initial idea to completion.
