PTA QUIZ NIGHT – FRIDAY 16 NOVEMBER

The annual PTA quiz night takes place on Friday 16th November. This is always a great night on the PTA calendar and provides much needed support for resources within the school.

Jennifer Thomson (PT RMPS & Citizenship) will be the quizmaster once again (back by popular demand!) so we are looking for our local community to come along and support this excellent event. The event is fully licensed and food will be provided at the interval…what more could you ask for!!!

Tickets are on sale at the school office or online priced £7

Stevenson’s blazer braiding arrangements

INFORMATION

With the upcoming school holiday we realise that many parents/carers are opting to have their child’s blazer braided or embroidered with letters and dates during this time. As a result we will have a number to work through.

Normally braiding and embroidery can take a maximum of 10-14 days to be completed, however this is normally much faster during quieter times. During October week we will become busier however we do endeavour to have as much work completed as possible, numbers dependant.

To allow for us to have these completed where possible during the week we kindly request that parents/carers/pupils should they wish Stevensons to carry out the work, that they have their blazers with us no later than Friday 12th October.

Should you have any questions, or receive any enquiries about this please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help.  Our details are below.

Lay Member Vacancies

Lay Member Vacancies

Education Scotland is actively recruiting members of the public to join our school inspection teams as Lay Members.

Lay Members take a particular interest in aspects of school life, including relationships between staff and pupils and schools’ partnerships with parents and the local community. You will spend one day in the school. You will make a positive and valuable contribution to improving Scottish education bringing a new perspective to our work. You will contribute to the overall work of a school inspection team, resulting in a published report for parents. The report identifies strengths and areas for improvement and help schools to improve the experiences and achievements of children and young people.

The closing date for applications is Monday 8 October 2018.  Further information can be found on the Education Scotland vacancies page.
