We all had the most amazing time at Texa and Balta playrooms Graduation Celebration event on Friday last week.
Here are a few photo’s from the day.
If you have any pictures you would like to share please tweet them @IsobelMairFC
Last shout out for a summer clearance, all donated items will be collected on Monday so please ensure your bags are dropped off early Monday morning.
Science Magician
The children from the family centre have been invited to join their peers in Isobel Mair School for a science themed magic show on Wednesday 18th April. I am sure the children will thoroughly enjoy learning about science in a fun and interactive way and we will be sure to share some photographs.
Easter Celebrations
We will be hosting an Easter Craft Day on Wednesday 28th March, morning and afternoon. The children will be making a variety of Easter themed crafts throughout the day and we might even squeeze in a quick visit from the Easter Bunny! Parents are invited to come along and join in with crafting activities for the full or part of the session to suit! We will speak nicely to the Easter Bunny and see if his visit can be scheduled for the last 30minutes of each session J
As so many children have significant allergies we are unable to have our usual Easter Egg Decorating Competition this year. The children were keen to have a competition of sorts though, so after discussion it was agreed that an Easter Bonnet competition will be held! Please take part by designing and decorating an Easter bonnet at home to wear to nursery on Wednesday 28th March. We will have a bonnet parade and a winner will be chosen.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
East Renfrewshire Council is consulting on its budget for 2018-2021.  Your responses to this consultation will help shape councillors’ decision making about how our budget will be spent over the next three years.
The Council’s budget covers a huge range of services, including education, schools, early learning and childcare, social care, roads, cleansing and housing.
While the Council does not yet know its exact budget, with the Scottish Government not due to confirm the annual grant settlement until December, ERC is expecting to have to make savings in the region of £26million between 2018 and 2021. This is in addition to £37million of savings the Council has already made since 2012.
A range of proposed savings to meet the ÂŁ26million shortfall has been published for consultation and is available at www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/budget. Â Â Parent Council Chairs have been invited to a series of meetings as part of the Budget Conversation, but we are keen to hear from as many parents as possible on the savings proposals set out in the Budget Booklet, a small number of hard copies of which are available in schools or at this link.
The consultation will be open until 28 November, with the final budget being decided by elected members at a meeting of the full council on 8 February 2018.
Many Thanks,
East Renfrewshire Council
