FAMILY CENTRED APPROACHES
Over recent years The Scottish Government set out clear intentions to improve the outcomes for all of Scotland’s children. It’s aspiration to make Scotland the ‘best place in the world to bring up children’ puts an emphasis on parenting as a key driver for transformational change.
To support early year’s establishments, East Renfrewshire Council introduced a self-evaluation framework illustrating practical suggestions on good practice.
We have been developing our Family Centred Approaches as part of East Renfrewshire’s accreditation process. We achieved our Bronze award in 2014 and Silver award in 2015. We achieved full Family Centred Approached accreditation with our gold award in October 2021.
