Staff have created a Sensory Story Library in IMS.
This is a whole school resource to promote reading and contains Makaton, Moon, CVI and other digital resources raising attainment and making sure literacy is accessible for all.
The Good Fairy
Last session Shona worked with Mrs Johnson to create a story called “The Good Fairy”.
Using eye pointing and an E-tran frame Shona was able to choose the storyline and the characters she wanted in her story.

Class Staffa used PODD books during creative writing and story telling activity this morning.
Each pupil had to choose a character, animal, problem, how to fix it and how do they feel.
With support from class staff they were able to compose a story and then write it down.
Everyone listened to Mrs McEwan as she read out all the stories.
