Disablity Gymnastics Open Day
Monday 14th October 1:00 – 3:00pm
On Monday 14th October an open session will be held for people with additional support needs who wish to take part in gymnastics.
The session will be led by expert disability coaches from City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club and Irvine Bay Gymnastics club and the participants will train with national squad gymnasts.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the recent MacMillan Coffe Morning, organised by the staff and pupils of Loch Ness.
A great morning was had by all and the delicious home baking went down a treat.
At the end of the coffee morning the staff and pupils gave everyone a demonstration of Reels on Wheels.
We are delighted to let you know that the magnificent amount of £350 was raised on thday and now a cheque for that amount is on it’s way to MacMillan Cancer Care.
Parents’ Night will take place on Monday 7th October 2013.
Appointments will already have been made with the class teacher and sent home via the school diaries.
Please join us for our Harvest Service at Newton Mearns Baptist Church on Thursday 3rd October at 10:30am.
Please remember to send in any donations to school with your child.
This year all Harvest donations will be given to East Renfrewshire’s Food Bank.

This week Gemma had the chance to introduce mAIRwaves FM.
She explained the topic was going to be about the recent visit to Castle Temple for the Adventure Day.
The students had the opportunity to discuss in small groups what they wanted to say and then waited patiently for their turn to speak.

Parents from classes Cumbrae, Bute, Tiree and Arran are invited to join them on Thursday 26th September at 10:15-11:15am for coffee and cake and then a showcase from Wheels on Reels in the Mod.
All donations on the day will be sent to MacMillan Cancer Care.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Jeans for Genes Day on Friday.
We are delighted to inform you that we raised £145 and this money will be sent to the foundation along with the money raised from the Family Centre.
The total amount raised was IMS £153.75, Family Centre £89.60
So the grand total to be sent to Jeans for Genes is £239.65

Visiblity are running a free Family Fun Day with lots of activities for children with a visual impairment and their family to enjoy on Saturday 26th October 9.15 – 1pm.
The event takes place in Irvine and more details can be obtained by calling Visibilty on 0141 332 4632.
Children are welcome to bring along siblings or friends and take part in the Fancy Dress Competition.
Adavance booking is essential and bookings must be made no later than 18th October.

Classes Tiree and Whalsay wish to say a big thank you to Variety Scotland for a great fun day experience at M&D’s.
They had the best time ever and made a recording for mAIRwavesFM.

Lots of skills have been involved, making learning active, challenging and enjoyable for the pupils.

Thank You to everyone who donated to the charity coins in Waitrose.
Today some of our pupils went to Waitrose to recieve the cheque. We were delighted to find out the generous amount was £433.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed, the money will be used to buy some new equipment for the pupils.

The Word on the Street is Wear Jeans on Friday 20th September and help support a great cause to help change lives.
At Isobel Mair School we are joining the Family Centre to celebrate this great cause and ask every pupil and staff member to make a donation and pay £1 to wear jeans for the day.
Pupils will be involved in class activities throughout the day to help raise awareness and how to support this event.
