Be a Hero
Donate £1 and dress up as a Superhero or dress as you please to help support Children in Need Day on Friday 13th November.
On November 15th, every UK Toys R Us store will be holding an autism friendly and additional needs exclusive shopping event.
The event will start at 10am on Sunday 15th November. There will be no loud music played in store, reduced fluorescent lighting and understanding staff with basic parent led autism awareness training.

Thank you to classes Whalsay and Sanda for their bonfire safety assembly.
Some of the pupils made art work, some read out the safety code and they also made a short safety code video which they showed to everyone. This video can be shared with the classes every year to highlight the Bonfire Safety code.

The Education Department is currently undertaking a review of administrative and clerical processes in the department, schools and prefive establishments with a view to both delivering approved financial savings and also modernising how we work. We are also looking to improve upon the current online payment system.

Classes Iona and Islay organised the Halloween assembly for the primary classes this morning.
They decided to make different stations for all the pupils to go to and explore some of the Halloween activities that they had set up.
They had spooky hands, photo booth, colouring, cake decorating, Halloween tray and many other activities, all great fun!
Here are some of the bags that were collected for the refugee camps in Calais, to help the families who find themselves homeless and in great need of help.
