West of Scotland Swimming Gala

On Wednesday 11th March five of our IMS Swimmers will be heading to Blantyre Sports Centre in North Lanarkshire to take part in a West of Scotland swimming gala for pupils with physical or visual impairments.

Pupils from classes Bute, Sanda and Shetland will be in attendance  and they’ll have a chance to swim against peers from other schools in a very friendly and slightly competitive atmosphere.

We’ve had great fun in the last few years taking part and races will include 10m front stroke and 10m back stroke, as well as a novelty race and a relay.

IMS Special Games

Thursday 12th March will see this year’s IMS Special Games event.

We will be joined  by pupils from St Cadoc’s and Crookfur to help us enjoy our sporting activities.

A huge range of events will be on offer to challenge all of our IMS athletes including dance, athletics, hockey, football with an SFA coach, curling, table cricket, parachute games, cycling and even cheerleading!

Our Active Schools Coordinators will be on hand to help us out, and I’m sure great fun will be had by all!
