Primary 6.21 have been continuing to develop their confidence in the kitchen and were able to create a delicious meal. They made some tasty veterinarian quesadillas . They have been focusing on developing their knife skills, in particular, learning to julienne and dice.

Setting Descriptions
Primary 6.21 have been learning about the importance of creating detailed setting descriptions to set the scene. They were asked to create a setting description based on the short clip Embarked. Once they had completed their description it was then shared with another member of the class who was tasked with drawing the setting they were reading,
Rebecca: “I thought that some members of the class didn’t add enough detail to their descriptions and it made it hard to add detail”.
Miraaya. “I really enjoyed drawing Jamie’s setting description as I was able to add lots of detail to the setting”.
Paired Reading
Primary 6.21 are currently reading The Christmasurus by Tom Fletcher and have enjoyed reading and listening to the book.
The class decided that they would like to read the book to each other in groups to aid their expressions and fluency.
Solo talks
Primary 6.21 have been learning about the Victorian Era and enjoyed presenting their knowledge to the class in the form of a solo talk. The class enjoyed selecting the focus for their research and loved the independence that this provided.
Blackout Poetry
Primary 6.21 have been learning about found poetry. They used a newspaper to create pieces of blackout poetry. They enjoyed sharing their poems with the class and discussed the impacts of sharing their poetry with their peers.
