Closely linked to our current Mearns Masters pathway, Primary 6.21 have enjoyed learning about the environment and delivering a solo talk on an area of their interest. Some of the topics were habitat loss, rising water levels, fossil fuels, wild fires and the power of plants.
Each solo talk focused on developing solutions to current world issues and how they feel we could improve or overcome these issues.
Mairead Mackechnie, Education officer from Scottish Parliament, visited Primary 6 and helped develop their knowledge and understanding of politics in Scotland.
Primary 6 enjoyed learning about the importance of the voting process and why it is important to have your say in how the country is run.
Primary 6.21 have enjoyed learning some new vocabulary in French and being able to introduce themselves and describe their appearance .
They have continued to develop their confidence when translating and have also been working on their pronunciation when sharing their learning with their peers.
P6 have also enjoyed playing French splat. They have continued to challenge themselves and are able to use the sound buttons to record the phrases they are working on and improve their pronunciation.
