Busy week
The week has been a busy week in the Sunflower class. We have started learning the songs for our nativity. We went a walk around the local area and visited the new Remembrance garden and the Cenotaph to see the poppy wreaths that we laid last week.
We have been busy making our tree for the wall display in the atrium. We were drawing round our hands of different green material and the attached them to the tree shape and added glitter to make it sparkle.
We read a story about how to build a snowman and then cut out the pictures and stuck them down to sequence the story using the pictures.
Eglinton Park
The Sunflowers Class enjoyed an outing to Eglinton Park. We went for a walk and looked at the different trees and plants., we also looked at the new Remembrance garden. We enjoyed splashing in the puddles with our wellington boots.
We loved playing in the park, taking turns going down the slide and bouncing on the trampoline and even better the rain stayed off!
School café visit
This week we got an invitation to the Willowbank School Café. The older boys and girls made our snacks, served our food and took our money. We all sat at the table and looked at the menu. We all chose something to eat. It was very yummy! Even the ladies had a special treat of mint aero slice. It was delicious. Jay even sat next to a special visitor, PC Scott was in the school and came to the café too.
Shopping
On Monday we went out on or social outing. We all got a shopping list to look at. we got strapped into the bus and were able to look at the list on the way to Asda. We collected a trolley and went round the shop looking in all the aisles for the items on our list. We had to get bread, croissant, food colouring, sprinkles, chocolate and bread sticks. Once we had all our items we went to the self scan to scan our items and then pay for them. All the boys really enjoyed having a list to check.
