Snowdrops FAOL- GG3 Good Health and Wellbeing

*Successful Learners*       *Confident Individuals*    *Responsible Citizens*   *Effective Contributors*

As part of our Eco/Sustainable Development work on Good Health and Wellbeing (move and smile more), the Snowdrops have enjoyed participating in lots of different movement activities.

We have enjoyed outdoor games and activities such as playing with a ball, riding bikes and exploring other playground equipment. In the class we have had good fun participating in sensory MOVE activities, Scottish dancing and songs, active numeracy and literacy tasks as well as class yoga sessions.

FAOL – Outdoor Learning

Responsible Citizens/Effective Contributors

Now the weather is beginning to change, we have been exploring ways we can help feed the birds and making some fun bird feeders for the school garden.  The Snowdrops used pipe cleaners and cheerios to create a feeder for the birds.  Everyone showed good fine motor skills threading the cheerios onto the pipe cleaners.  The Snowdrops also enjoyed tasting some cheerios too!  We are going to hook them over branches on the trees in our school garden.

FOAL – Spring Clean/Planting

The Snowdrops have all been responsible citizens experiencing gardening activities – using garden tools, feeling different garden textures, digging out the weeds in our class troughs and planting new bulbs.  We all enjoy having to water them on a regular basis!

FAOL Outdoor Learning – Rain Gauges

The Snowdrops have been exploring ways we can use our recycled bottles and find out how much rain falls outside in our school garden.  Super work being responsible citizens and we will put them in our school garden when the weather gets less slippy and frosty!
