Scottish Poetry Competition🏴
The whole school was invited to our Scottish Poetry Competition. We listened to a Finalist from each class. Everyone recited their poems brilliantly. They performed with excellent expression and confidence.👏Well done to all of our Finalists.
Santa visited Onthank Primary🎅🏼
We were delighted to welcome Santa to our school playground. He was happy to see us and brought P1, P2 and P3 boys and girls presents. Thank you Santa🎅🏼

Fun Time at Kidz Play?
All of our Primary One pupils had a fun time ar Kidz Play in Prestwick today. Well done to everyone for being super Onthank Citizens. We were complimented on our behaviour and manners.?

No Pens Day Wednesday
Today as part of our Dyslexia Friendly Schools journey, the whole school was involved in NO PENS DAY WEDNESDAY. This is a national speaking and listening event which encourages exciting classroom discussion. Check out the blog for class photos.

A great start to our P7 year??
Primary 7s were working on digital learning and creating posters with our school values. They also had the opportunity to introduce themselves to their Primary 1 buddies.
P1A and P1C Beach STEM
P1A and P1C have been busy in the sun doing STEM. We designed some new beach towels, made up new games to play at the beach, worked together to build ‘sand’castles and designed new beach buggies. We all worked really well together!!
Active phonics in P1
P1A and P1C were very busy reading, writing and spelling this morning with a mixture of activities outside and inside.
Some children used water or chalk to write letters and words, while others played in groups with board games, flash cards or play dough. Mrs Cree and I were very impressed by the children’s concentration!!
Volcanoes
P1A and P1C made exploding volcanoes as part of our Science Lab topic. We used vinegar, baking soda and food colouring.
Royal Wedding Attire
Our P1s and their P7 buddies were set the challenge today of designing a suit and wedding dress for Prince Harry and Meghan to wear to the Royal Wedding. Pupils experimented with our new iPads to create the designs. Which one would you like to wear?
P7 and P1 STEM
Primary 7 pupils went a walk with P1 Buddies to help them collect sticks and leaves for their STEM Challenge. Primary ones have to build a dragon’s nest.
