Mrs Johnstone’s  Primary 1A’s have now achieved their Bronze Award in Wider Achievements.

Well done!😃⭐️

They will all now be working on their Silver award, which will require some support from home. Details of fortnightly targets are on the P1A Wider Achievement tab within the class information area.

Being seen is very important for road safety. Many serious accidents happen because drivers do not see other road users until it is too late!

Friday 26^th November is Be Safe Be Seen Day and Primary 6 would like to invite pupils and staff to wear bright clothing and accessories to school.  You could even wear traffic light colours!

The JRSOs have been busy during Road Safety Week!

They have created this short presentation with some road safety tips to help keep pupils safe on their journey to school.

They also need your help to create a Road Safety Mascot.  Please get creative and enter their competition!  There will be prizes for the winning entries. Closing date for the competition is Thursday 2nd December.

Road Safety week 15-19th November

Next week the school will be taking part in Road Safety week, our JRSO officers have been busy organising different activities for the whole school to take part in.

Throughout the week P1a and P1b will be learning all about road safety through the programme Kerbcraft. The JRSO officers will be involved in this, helping the trained staff to deliver the learning.

Every class will be involved in activities such as

• Design Road Safety Heroes for the JRSO noticeboard
• Design a New Cumnock Road Safety Mascot. The JRSO officers decided to make this a homework task to get parents/careers involved. We are looking forward to all the super Mascot ideas you have!!
• JRSO officers will be presenting a PowerPoint to each class

Vibrant Communities Family Literacy team would like to invite parents and children from P1 to 3 to attend a fun family literacy workshop which is taking place online on Wednesday 24th November 6:30pm till 7:30pm through the VSCENE App. If you would like to take part in our fun family learning session then please sign up through our smart survey by Monday 22^nd November 2021. We will then contact you with a code to access the VSCENE session. Bring along a deck of playing cards(if you have one), pencil and paper and most importantly a parent must be in attendance.
