Our P7 helpers, school choir members and class winners from our school Poetry Competition will soon be lettered to invite them to perform at our next annual Burns Family Night on Thursday 20th February 6-8pm. (Please see the poster above for more information)
Tickets to attend must be purchased prior to the event. Performers do not require a ticket to attend.
We would encourage family and friends to purchase a ticket to come along and show their support. Be quick so as not to miss out!

Calling all NCPS Primary 6s and 7s how would you like the opportunity to become a âFitfest Ambassadorâ – well now is your chance.
In partnership with NCPS, NCDT are looking to recruit a group of young people in either P6 or P7 to help with the planning and organisational side of Fitfest! This Includes having your own portion of budget to spend on an activity or event at #FitFest2025 and of course a tshirt and hoodie!
So if you have a passion for all things #fitfest and are keen to be involved in the NC community then we would love to hear from you.
Young people will be asked to complete an application form and also attend a short interview so we can learn and hear lots about them.
Here is some key information for anyone who may be interested in applying:
âïž 27/01/25 – Tammy from NCDT & Geraldine đŠwill attend NCPS Get Together to explain #fitfest ambassadors to the whole school.  Application forms will be given to the P6 and P7 teachers to distribute to anyone who wishes to apply.
âïž 30/01/25 – Completed applications must be returned to the NCDT Office (21 Castle) no later than 4pm on this day.
âïž 03/02/25 – All young people will be notified as to whether they have reached interview stage or not.
âïž 04/02/25 – Interviews will take place in NCPS.
Most importantly any young person wishing to be involved must be available to attend Fitfest on 25/05/25 and have permission from a parent/guardian.
We know how much the young people in our community LOVE #fitfest and we cannot wait for them to be involved in making 2025 EVEN better!

Please find attached local badminton sessions which have started in Cumnock will run every Thursday evening. The sessions are run by Tommy Mulgrew and all information can be found on the word document attached.
We have enjoyed hosting our class Christmas parties this week. We danced, played party games and enjoyed some snacks.
We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Sheryl and Heather at the Working Men’s Club for donating the beautiful balloon arch used for our class photos. We are extremely grateful to them both for allowing us to borrow it!
We were so excited for our whole school Pantomime trip to Gaiety Theatre in Ayr to see Mother Goose. We loved the production and the treat of ice cream during the interval! A huge thank you to all our Parent Helpers who attended with us.
We are so grateful to the New Cumnock Development Trust for their kind donation which helped to subsidise the cost of this trip for our families.

We are very grateful to the New Cumnock Development Trust for their kind donation of ÂŁ3000 towards the cost of this trip from a recent funding application from our Parent Council! This helped to subsidise a great deal of the cost of this trip, alleviating the financial pressure of our families at this time of year.
We have some spaces available for our Extra Time club which is run by Active Schools from 3-5pm on a Monday.
Chidlren get a snack provided and take part in lots of fun activities with the Active Schools team!
It is available for P4-7 children up until the Christmas holidays.
If you wish your child to have a space, please ring the school on the alternative number shared on the app, and let the office staff know if they will be collected at 5pm or are to walk home themselves.
It is important we keep our numbers high for this club, to enable Active Schools to secure funding to continue to run it in the New Year.
