Mental Health Awareness Week takes place this year from 9th – 15th May. The theme for 2022 is loneliness, its effect on our mental health and how we can play a part in reducing loneliness in our community.
Children will be taking part in a variety of activities over the week to explore this theme and learning will be shared via Twitter.
Please see attachment below for more information and support.

Values Logo Competition
The Pupil Council have been busy organising a whole school values logo competition. We had lots of entries and they were all super, so choosing 4 winners was a difficult task. We are delighted to share that that the following pupil designs were chosen and will now be logos for each of our four values.
Teamwork – Eilidh Ward (P4)
Responsibility – Grayson McRoberts (P4)
Respect – Freya Collins (P6)
Determination – Boyd McRoberts (P7)
Their wonderful designs have been made into digital images and we are delighted with the results.
We would like to pilot a new Parent Meeting Booking System. This would make organising Parents’ Evenings faster and easier, enabling you to select a specific slot. This would be done through the ConnectUs Parent Meeting Service. We already use ConnectUs as they provide us with our School App.
To help us move forward with piloting this service, we require your permission for your personal data to be shared with ConnectUs. This will include your name and email address only.
We feel that this service will provide the school and our parents with a simplistic and easy to use service which will make the booking of parents’ evening appointment more effective. It will also help us on our journey in becoming a paperless school.
If you would like more information about ConnectUs and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), please click on the link below.

Please complete the Form below to give permission for ConnectUs to hold your personal data which includes your name and email address. Please note that if you have more than one child at our school, you only need to complete the Form once.

Dear Parent/Carer
As you will know, your child is due to transfer from primary to secondary education at the beginning of the new school session (August 2022).
Please complete the online P7 transfer application at http://eastayrshi.re/p7transfer no later than Wednesday 26 January 2022.
Your secondary school will already be in communication with your child via primary school to provide information and hand books are available at: www.eac.eu/secondaryschoolhandbooks.
We very much hope that visits and events may be possible later in the year to allow you and your child to visit their new school.
Many thanks.
We are super excited to share our Nativity with you.
Please find below the link. We kindly ask that you do not share this. The Nativity will be available to watch until the week after Christmas and then it will be deleted from YouTube. It is a private link so only people with the link will be able to access it.
We hope you enjoy it!

We are delighted to share that we have made a donation of £1000 to Cash for Kids. This money was raised by you during our Cash for Kids School Challenge. This will help make a difference to young people’s lives this Christmas. A big thank you to everyone!

As part of our Rights Respecting Schools work, every class has worked together to create a Class Charter. Each Charter shares the agreement made on shared values and relationships for a Rights Respecting classroom which is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
The Class Charters are very creative and we are delighted to share a video of them below.
What better way to celebrate the countdown to Christmas than giving back to the local community!
Nether Robertland will be running a Reverse Advent Calendar between 1st December – 17th December. The Rights Respecting Schools’ group came up with a general theme for each week and suggested items that can be donated each day as shown in the calendar. All donations will be given to East Ayrshire Foodbank. If you can donate anything, please send these in with your child to be collected in class. Please do not donate any perishable items. Thank you for all your support.

A huge well done to everyone who took part in the bookmark competition.
The Dyslexia Inclusive Group found it very difficult to decide as the standards were high. One entry was chosen from each stage and every pupil in that stage will be given this bookmark to use. There was also a teacher choice and this will be used by all staff.
Here are the winners:
Rebecca Flanagan – P1: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Grace Donald – P2: My Feelings
Rose Lawrie – P3: Paddington Bear
Harrison Black – P4: Booktube
Emily Hall – P5: I Love the DIG Group
Toby Armstrong – P6: Horrid Henry
Calvin Campbell – P7: Demon Dentist
Faye Johnson – P5: Teacher’s Choice of Where’s Wally?
Thank you very much to everyone who completed the Inclusive Practice Questionnaire. Your views are welcomed and valued.
