Our day was very different today as we transformed our classroom into a Victorian school room. I n d o o r s – This week due to the continued interest in animals particularly farm animals, we created a farm shop which the children have enjoyed exploring in. Literacy P2 have been working hard on their new common words this week – much, use, would, could, new, who and friend. Numeracy Pupils continued to work on telling the time on both analogue and digital clocks, focussing on o’clock and half past times. Learning Across the Curriculum It was walk to school week this week and I loved seeing everyone participating in all walk to school week activities throughout this week! Our pupils also loved meeting Jonny Paterson, a paralympic footballer, who played for Scotland! They took part in activities run by Jonny and enjoyed listeningWeekly Round-Up
This week was ‘Walk to School Week’. We have enjoyed walking to school with a different theme each day. This week we had a special visit from Paralympic footballer Jonny Paterson. We took part in a sponsored fitness circuit which was followed by a motivational assembly and Q&A session. Well done to Alfie who won a medal at a rugby tournament at the weekend and who is the only P4 pupil left in the chess championship, making it through to the final 4 pupils.
