Monday 9th December
Primary 2 are really getting into the spirit of Christmas! We have loved watching Home Alone 2 (P7) and singing along with the Carol Concert (P3). This week it is our turn, we look forward to welcoming you all on Thursday. A huge well done to those who already know all their lines, keep rehearsing at home. Narrators will have access to a script if needed and teachers will be at the side of the stage to help. On Tuesday we plan to have a dress rehearsal. If possible can all animals wear black trousers/leggings and a black long sleeved…Wk ending 6th December
This week we have been learning the ‘g’ sound. We had great fun creating golden g’s, glitter glue pictures, drawing and building houses for Goldilocks. In numeracy, we have been continuing to use a Numberline to help us add. We also created paper snowflakes to add to our winter display. Doesn’t it look fantastic!Owl Babies Fun
We got to meet some special little visitors this week when the Owl Babies came to see us. We found out lots of interesting facts about owls before we had an opportunity to hold one. They were very well behaved and super cute!Weekly Roundup
Literacy Well done to all pupils for completing their Big Talks and for sharing what they would like to be when they grow up! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them all! Numeracy This week, the pupils explored positional language and used grid references to find different locations on maps. They have also learned to partition numbers which will help them when adding and subtracting. Across the curriculum We rounded off our Owl Babies topic with a visit from owl magic. In the most recent update to Glow blogs we updated the version of Jetpack that we use. Jetpack no longer supports Additional CSS. Glow Blogs has just had a fairly large update. Glow Blogs is now using wordPress 6.6.2. This bring quite a lot of new features, especially to the Block & Site Editor. Quite a few plugins have been updated too.H5P Issue Some content types cannot be installed
