P4H have started rehearsing with Miss McFall to produce a mini Opera called ‘The Tale O’ Tam O’ Shanter. The final performance will be in The Big Top at Dean Castle on the afternoon of Sunday 7th June. LOOK at our progress so far! Well done P4H.

This will be my last blog post as I hand back over to Mrs Henderson.
I would just like to say thank you for all your hard work over this year so far and good luck for the future.
It has been a pleasure to be your teacher
Miss Day x
Please complete the task on giglets for homework – spelling words will be uploaded tomorrow 🙂
The children are building greenhouse for their cress on Wednesday 18th March as part of our STEM fortnight activities, please bring in as much plastic as you can.
Examples:
plastic bottles, yoghurt pots, plastic bags, washing up liquid bottles, grape boxes etc.

We have been lucky enough to spend Thursday afternoons doing P.E at Stewarton academy, taught by the S4 pupils.
We have enjoyed doing different activities and games and visiting the academy.
We have had 2 sessions so far and have our last session next week 🙂

This week we have been doing a lot of eating in P4, with pancake day activities and baking our own bannocks.
A bannock is a traditional Scottish bread.
The children have been developing their measuring skills, alongside our school values of teamwork and responsibility when baking.

For homework going forward, children will be assigned the same book on giglets for 2 weeks.
On week one children will have a task to complete using the book, the following week children will have a different task to complete using the same book.
Please let me know if anyone needs another copy of the log-in details sent home 🙂
Children should use giglets to practise their fluency and expression whilst reading – as well as their comprehension skills.
