NETHER ROBERTLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Here at Nether Robertland we have a very comprehensive programme for Transition to enable children to feel ready and excited for the move to Stewarton Academy.

Despite restrictions and challenges of late, we have collaborated with Stewarton Academy to provide an introduction to Transition through the following:

• TEAMs calls with Head of S1 & S2, Mrs Ward, with entire new S1 cohort
• TEAMs calls with S6 Pupil Ambassadors with individual schools
• TEAMs calls with Pastoral care staff with individual schools
• Sharing of Stewarton Academy Youtube content including a virtual tour of the school building
• Face to face visit with staff from the Additional Support for Learning Dept.

In the coming weeks, P7 will be introduced to a STEM project which they will begin remotely, and continue in S1, ensuring a shared experience for all P7s in our Education Group.

We are hopeful that with the easing of restrictions, more face to face visits will be possible in the summer term.
