Thank you to everyone who helped and contributed to the rag bag collection. The magnificent sum of £820 was raised. We are now collecting rag bags for next year.

Thursday 30th June will be the last swimming lesson.

With Miss Lillie, the P4 to 7 class learned about rainforest products and started to advertise our own coffee brands. In groups, we made our own scripts to persuade the listeners through the radio. Our message to the listeners is that our coffee is fairtrade  and it doesn’t damage the environment.

P.S It’s not real!!!

We visited Amazonia on the Wednesday 25th may 2011. We left at 8.45 am  and got back at 7.30 pm. Amazonia is near Hamilton by Glasgow. We were taken on a tour around Amazonia. We were told about the birds in this video. These birds are parrots. The birds were quite small and they were green and slightly yellow. They made a low squaking sound. We went to Amazonia because our school topic is the rainforest. We had lots of fun!

On Wednesday 25th May. We went to M and Ds which is the National Theme Park of  Scotland. We went to Amazonia in M and Ds. We were given a guided tour by Fiona. We saw lots of birds and monkeys. The monkeys in the video are marmosets. They like to eat the sap from trees, but at Amazonia they are given a special gum to replace the sap. The monkeys also try to get sap out of dead wood, but everyone knows that when a tree is cut down it does not have sap anymore. Please watch our video as the monkeys are cute and you will learn lots of new things.

We went bowling on 25th May, 2011 during our trip to Amazonia. It was a cosmic bowling alley with glowing pictures all around us on the walls and floor. The little ones sometimes used a ramp because the balls were heavy. Please watch our video it is really,really awesome and we had a great time!bowling 2

On Wednesday the 25th of May the school went to M & D’s in Hamilton. We 3went bowling first some people got strikes and others got spares. Some of the little ones couldn’t throw the ball so they used a ramp. We also got to order food. If you watch our video you will see how much fun we had.
