P6M Ghana

Their is a village in Ghana that the broch raised up money to make it and in every house their is 8 children!

Their is a children church and an adult church in the village that the broch made.

But people that do not live in villages like that are not so lucky, a lot of people in Ghana have to put the brown stuff that comes out them in holes.

Ghana is 66 years old and its birthday is 6th of March. There is only one natural lake in Ghana, Lake Bosumtwe, a meteorite impact crater formed over a million years ago.

Ghana is a multilingual country with over 80 languages spoken by tribal villages. While English is the official language of Ghana, it is not the most widely spoken language in the country.

The name “Ghana” means “warrior king” in the Soninke language.

Ghana is the second-largest producer of gold in Africa.

In 2018, Ghana was among the 10 fastest-growing economies in the world and is currently the second-largest economy in West Africa. The country has made tremendous progress in reducing poverty in recent decades.

P6S-Ghana

P6S/M got a visitor Vicky, to tell us all about Ghana, and how wonderful it is even though they don’t have much resources or money. Vicky told us that she has been there 9 TIMES! That is amazing. People from Ghana have to walk miles to just to get water that is not even clean then they got to walk all the way back, with heavy buckets of water on their heads. If your wondering why its because it keeps sun out of their faces and their posture is more straight.

AND THAT IS WHAT WE FOUND OUT ABOUT GHANA.

P6S Disability’s

What is a Disability

A Disability is when someone has struggles understanding people and get confused easily and need extra help . For example my brother is autistic so he refuses to go down stairs when people are home because he struggles to socialise and speak so when speaking to his teachers or working in groups sometimes he needs extra help. So just because someone has struggles doesn’t mean you should bully them because you don’t know how someone feels because they just need an extra push and they will be successful like my brother has 24 swimming medals just from having a little help.

P4/5-Diversity week

We was learning about Firefighters                                                                                                When you are training to be a firefighter you need to do these things:                                        You need to run 50 meters carrying a dummy in the sweating firefighter soot with out complaining                                                                                                                             Then you need to go in a straight path blind folded telling them  what your touching                                                                                                                                                      Firefighters are allowed to be boys and girls and you need to save pets and humans

P4//5 Ghana

In our class we were learning about Ghana .

How long it takes for the People to get water ? It takes them 3.7 miles

Their house’s are made out of straw for the roof and mud for the walls.

How old does the People have to be to get the water? They have to be two or over ! .

There is even an orphanage and they go in it it’s because their mam and dad may have past away or didn’t have enough money to look after  them which is very sad.

In Ghana there is 34,121,985 People .

P3/4 Africa

Vicki came and told us about Africa how children and adults go to a well and get water dirty or clean water. Only some parts of Africa have clean water because those parts got help from other countries. Also the people have to carry the dirty or clean water in a bucket on their head so their backs don’t get sore. The school has no floors or windows. the academy is outside but luckily the are blessed with the sun so they won’t get wet well they should not. And they wash their clothes in dirty water or in clean if they are lucky.

Females in the Workplace

Yesterday we had a visit from Diane M.  She was a firefighter. I thought it was cool to see a firefighter in real life. We got to see the hose, her boots, the helmet, the jacket and the rope to try to make a knot. I liked the visit from Diane it was fascinating listing to the training  exercise how they had to run with a hose 25m and back she said it was good for a start but after 2-3 times it would get boring but she did it.

P4/5 Ghana

We have been learning about Ghana. And their houses were made of mud and straw. They don’t have much water and food. A lot of people sadly die and people jumps on cars to get to places.
