Supporting pupils with Additional Support Needs

All families are facing changes in routine and predictability, which can be particularly difficult for children/young people with additional support needs.

For all children, but especially children with additional needs, it is important to:

  • Maintain routines and create new ones
  • Use visual supports to support understanding
  • Plan movement breaks
  • Use learning that motivates and engages your child.
