Gordon Primary joined in enthusiastically with Fairtrade Fortnight. All classes in the school made posters promoting this years’ Fairtrade campaign to make bananas fair “Stick with Foncho”
All posters included the Fairtrade logo, the website address (www.stickwithfoncho.org.uk) and some bananas. Posters were displayed around our school and the Secondary school.
The Fairtrade group also sold Fairtrade bananas at morning break in the glass corridor. These proved very popular and provided a healthy snack for pupils and staff. Pupils and staff were also invited to draw their own cartoon banana on a poster of a giant banana.
Parents, pupils and staff also sent in banana recipes which will be made into a leaflet which will be given out to all families.
