Puzzles in class!!!

We have been looking at really hard puzzles and  trying to slove them, it is linked with professor Layton on the DSI, it is a really fun way of learning . We were told to make a class puzzle book, you could use one of your own puzzles or Mrs Harrison would lend you one of her puzzle cards to use. I used one of my own- Ramon got in trouble with Inspector Chemly and got send to S.T Mystere Jail. He was locked in a cell with a steel door(no hloes in it) so he couldn’t break down, no windows and rock hard walls. All that was in the cell was a piano, a calender and  springs. How did he eat, drink and get out.

A- He used the DATES on the calender as food, he DRUNK the springs(water) and he used the KEYS on the piano to get out. If you got it right then well done!!!

National Galleries Competition

We have chosen our photos and written our stories about them for the National Galleries Competition which Port Ellen Primary does every year. Sometimes we’re lucky and other times we’re not but it’s fun to do any way. This year I did my story from the point of view of a horse. Elinor in our class is really good at writing and I hope she gets placed.

Layton Comic Strips

In class we have been using Professor Layton to

do reading so we are making Layton comic strips!

I’m working with Emily and we have a puzzle and

a golden apple and a cool code and a secret passage!

It’s one of the best comic strips in the class. I’m not

very good at coloring though so it looks a teeny bit

messy. The plot’s good though!

Internet Fraud

They are many ways to describe a Fraud but the basic description is a LIE. When someone describes their
product or service they want to pay for by telling you only part of the truth; or only selected parts of the
truth that trick you to believe something other than what really will result or deliberately lying , they are committing a fraudulent crime. So be careful on the internet.

Cyberbullying Poem

I feel ashamed, idiotic, depressed,
Like everything is a lie,
The anger is running down my veins,
Its to much pain the horribleness is among us.

In other words its like everything is gloomy,
Like cold hands are strangling me,
Cyberbullying is not good,
Don’t witness it have faith,
Don’t let it bring you down,
I know it hurts.

I might be cyberbullying,
I’m sure I’m not,
It’s like my sweat is running,
The internet can be mean,
So can mobile phones.

How to do the Canadian Barn Dance

This is how to do the Canadian Barn Dance! First you have to hold a hand with your partner. Next you have to go forward three times and hop. Then you have to go back three times and hop. After that you have to go out clap and hop at the same time. Then you have to go in the way and hold your partners hands. After that you go forward to three then back to three. Finally go round once in a circle.

Rangers Charity Foundaction

Me and my Auntie Fiona completed the walk with Walter Smith who is the Glasgow Rangers manger. Well me and my Auntie Fiona got this letter through the post and it said you were invited to this evenings ceremony and we got there on Monday night and there was loads of people there, after that the ladies would tell us where to sit and we each got to stand in a queue and wait for our names to be called out and a Rangers player presented our medals to us. On Monday afternoon I got to go and get a picture taken with the Rangers players and get their autographs it was really cool but at the same time I was really shy, but the goalkeeper gave my a signed t-shirt that said best wishes Allan.

T Rex

We went onto the internet to find out about T Rex. We found out that he was 6000kg and 12m tall.
We worked out that if 9 and a half of our class stood on each others heads we would be the same height as T Rex.
We also worked out that if T Rex stood on scales we would need to use 12000 500g weights to balance the scales – cool eh!
