For my endeavor, I chose to write a book about Islay history. I chose this endeavor because i am very interested about Islay’s history and what the living conditions were like. I am learning all about Islay’s history and what happened during that time. Then I gather that knowledge and write it down in my book. My format is that I find a point in Islay’s history and put that on my timeline. And when i get to that point, i write a page or two about it and then i move on. I plan to have about 15-20 pages by the end of endeavor. then, i would have covered about all 10,000 years and i will have finished my book.
My Endeavour: Gardening
This year we started our Endeavors. My Endeavour is gardening, Like growing food like Pumpkin, Broccoli, Tomato etc. I have been busy planting loads of plants to sell. I have already sold some at the health day in May. Some of my plants are in the school, or not some have done good, some have done not as good.
All of my plants have been grown from seed, and have all been in a propagator Which is a see-through container to store plants when they have sprouted. Animals are a nuisance when growing plants outside because they might eat them. So I recommend using a propagator until they have reached a certain height.
CYPCS Survey
CYPCS (Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland) is asking children to share our opinion. Living on a island means we do not have access to much stuff. We wrote them down like access to Supermarkets, Cinemas, etc. And we met Nicola. Nicola is the National Young People’s Commissioner. She informs anything we say to the parliament. This time she is doing the listening and we are doing the talking. Then we voted which of the following from what worries you the most to what worries you the least. We discussed rights and we filled in a survey- our right to have our opinion heard was exercised.
Buddies
This term we have been working with the new primary ones and twos. We have been reading them stories and they have been loving it, playing with them with the parachute and more. We all had a good time. On Friday we had a teddy bear picnic with them. We also had banana muffins when we were outside. We built houses boats and more for our and our buddies teddies. we looked after the new primary ones at their first day. After we had the muffins we did a teddy bear race, it was fun!

Photography Endeavour
My Endeavour is photography. I have taken photos of my brother playing football, photos of the singing sands, a few photos of cows, photos of a view from Glenegadale, photos of a stack of stones right next to the lighthouse at the Oa. I am soon going to take photos, get them on to postcards and sell them. I haven`t decided on the actual price yet but I think it will be £1.
