Makaton Fun!

The whole school is learning Makaton this year as part of our Rights Respecting Schools journey to Gold.

Makaton is a UK-based language program that uses a combination of speech, signs, and picture symbols to help people with learning and communication difficulties to communicate and understand.   Learning Makaton helps children understand who cannot communicate verbally, but it also helps all children with their understanding and communication, so it is very inclusive.

Primary 6 and 7 have been learning Makaton as part of their Neurodiversity topic, and have made videos to share.  Here is their Makaton animals video.
