App Specific Twilight Sessions

Cardross AppsCardross Primary School RTC are providing free Twilight CPD Sessions for all teachers and educational staff. All sessions are free and will give practical examples, help and advice on how to use each app in the classroom. Sessions will run from 4pm until 5.30pm. iPads and refreshments will be provided. A link to download course materials will be provided the week before each course, to all registered participants. Places will be limited dependent on course content. BIG RHYTHM SESSIONS Funded music CPD

boomThere are still spaces available on these afternoon CPD sessions. Come and learn how to facilitate effective drumming sessions. Drumming rates as the most satisfactory and inclusive musical experience children can experience in school. Participants will receive boomwhacker packs (tuned percussion tubes) for their school.

CALL Scotland RTC Launch

To launch our new status as an Apple Regional Training Centre, specialising in iPads and Additional Support Needs, CALL is hosting a free half-day conference at Moray House School of Education on Friday 9th May. Speakers include Steve Bunce, Jenni Robertson and David Ryan. There will also be parallel workshop presentations on using iPads for:

– Literacy and Creativity (Jenni Robertson)
– Pupils with Dyslexia and Reading / Writing Difficulties (Paul Nisbet)
– Pupils with Communication Difficulties (Sally Millar)
– Pupils on the Autistic Spectrum (Sue Fletcher-Watson)

3 new ipad training courses at Cardross in 2013

iPads for Beginners
Date: Wednesday 23rd October 3:45pm-5pm Location: Cardross Primary
Places: 30
This course is designed for teachers interested in using an iPad within the classroom but are unsure where to start.
