Mission to Mars is an inspiring, one-day, iPad event for schools and school leaders to provide excellent CPD and practical ways to take teaching and learning forward with iPads. The event will showcase the latest and most exciting tools for schools.
Pupil Digital Leader Event – Tell us what you think
The pupil Digital Leaders event took place in Inveraray on Friday 18th November. This event was attended by 244 pupils from 40 schools.
It is important that our pupil’s opinions are heard and we would like feedback from our digital leaders via the survey emailed to staff.
The survey will close on Monday 28th November at 5pm and will take around 10 minutes to complete.
Gaelic Learners Conference
Digital Leader Labs – 18th November 2016 (Event Full)
The senior pupils’ digital leader training event will take place in Inveraray Primary School on Friday 18th November 2016 from 10:00 till 15:30. The event is aimed at pupils from P5/6/7 and will include training for pupils on computational thinking, troubleshooting and introduction to computer programming using Drones and Sphero’s. Argyll and Bute School Staff Receive a Professional Development Award
On the 21st June 2016, 22 Classroom and Additional Support Needs Assistants received certificates for the SQA Professional Development Award (PDA) in Education Support Assistance in a ceremony held in the Loch Fyne Hotel, Inveraray.
Roslyn Redpath, Principal Educational Psychologist, presented the certificates on behalf of Argyll and Bute Council and congratulated the candidates on their hard work and commitment.

Kodu Session on the 10th May postponed.
The Kodu Twilight Session with Gary Clark that was planned for Tuesday 10th will be postponed until next session. This is to allow teachers in the HALCO area that are interested in coding and computer science to attend the Introduction to Computing Science workshops instead. This is a really exciting opportunity provided by Education Scotland and we urge anyone interested in coding to attend.
The remaining sessions will continue as planned:
